Introduce happy hours not just for liquor but also for kids by introducing shakes fruit smoothies.Start some sort of a contest
and give the entry form on purchase of certain drink or even more than one drinks.This will create a hype and you will be able to increase your sale of drinks.As for the contest after a certain time give away something free.Like a lucky coupon for a night of fine dining on the house.

One other easy way to control your costs is to provide your bartenders only a specified amount of inventory in a given period. Reconcile the inventory you have at the end of the period. Their sales + their current inventory should be close to the original inventory.

increasing sale : you can only increase your sale when you know who your market is or who are ready to buy your product then you can put all your marketing effort focusing that target market.find all the reason y that customer will buy from you .
food or beverage cost : there are different theories over it but one has to focus practicaly in four points : buy it in a right price ,sell it in a right price {taking all the expenses & profit margin into consideration},control that there is no wastage, keep your product away from theft.

Folks ,
Have confidence in your self , do not loose before even you have tried for it , this is a business where you have to be awake and be aware of the other business around , what they do is different from you , no harm to copy them if it let you make some more £££ .
Few things I would like to share .
You have to be passionate about your business
Do not let any customer go without their feed back
Correct it straight away even if you know it is customers mistake ( dont forget they will tell their friends about this )
menu should be easy and bold easy to read and quick to order , no customer wants to spend more time unless you serve hard liquid in your rest.
print a different quality leaflet to hand out out side the cinema , collages and door to door leaflet , this is quite easy and effective .
have really good , bubbly and good looking girls at the front counter , who can speak understand and interact friendly with the customers and not a robot .
Always keep an eye on every table , away from the customers view and approach the customer before customer approach you .
Always be in win win situation , if customers are happy they will tell other customers , make a surve form and get customer data base , re write to the customers whom do you think are your loyal customers , invite them for their birthday or any occasion for free meal .again dont forget word of mouth is the biggest marketing it self .
Friends there are many more ways to come , I have exp my self , do try these small lil lil thing will make big difference to your pocket .
